Books that I want to read (that I haven't bought)

Book list:  Books that I want to read (that I haven't bought)

Iron & Embers (The Ashes of Thezmarr) – This one in particular, I want the FairyLoot edition. I already found someone who’s selling it; I’m just hoping it doesn’t get sold before my next paycheck comes in.

To be honest, I vaguely remember what it’s about. Broadly speaking, I know it’s about an alchemist and her thirst for revenge. But that special edition has been calling to me for several weeks now.

It’s a bit pricey, and I’m stuck in an internal debate about whether it would really be worth getting.

I'm Not Jessica Chen – A girl switches bodies with her cousin. The protagonist has always been envious of her relative, but when the switch happens, she realizes that things weren’t as perfect as they seemed.

People say it’s a very emotional book that makes you reflect on what you have in the present.

The Seven Year Slip – A romance that’s currently trending. A woman rents an apartment and discovers that a man is also living there. The catch? She can only talk to him inside the apartment, and there’s a seven-year time difference between them.

The premise is very similar to The Lake House, which is one of my favorite movies. I plan to read it soon.

Blood Over Bright Haven – A Dark Academia book that I’m only keeping an eye on because the account I follow, Cups and Thoughts, recommended it a lot. I’m not entirely sure about the novel’s content, but I really trust her recommendations.

Babel – Same as the book above, but I do have a bit of an idea about the story. I know it’s a Dark Academia novel, but it’s related to language.

Yellowface – A female author passes off a novel as her own after a friend dies. The protagonist will face the consequences of this.

The Familiar
The Dagger and the Flame
Bride
The Warm Hands of Ghosts

I didn’t write a description for the last four because I’m not entirely sure what they’re about, and I don’t want to give you the wrong information. At the same time, I don’t want to read too much about them because I don’t want to spoil the books for myself. But I’ve seen them mentioned here and there in different places, so I think I’ll enjoy them when I get around to reading them.

All of these are books I haven’t gotten yet — and that’s not even counting the ones on my shelf that I haven’t read.

Do any of these books catch your attention?
